Samsung has officially confirmed its next Galaxy Unpacked event will take place July 9 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, signaling the debut of its latest foldable smartphones, wearables, and audio devices.
Set for 10 a.m. ET, the event is expected to feature the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, alongside the Galaxy Watch 8 series and Galaxy Buds Core wireless earbuds. In addition, Samsung is widely anticipated to tease its new tri-fold prototype and share updates on Project Moohan, the mixed reality headset it is co-developing with Google.
Analysts say Samsung’s upcoming devices will highlight an AI-first approach, with improved multitasking, intelligent battery management, and better cross-device experiences. “Samsung is positioning foldables as mainstream rather than niche,” said Avi Greengart, lead analyst at Techsponential. “Expect significant refinements in durability and price aimed at driving broader adoption this year.”
Competition in the foldable category has heated up, with players like Motorola, Honor and OnePlus expanding their own flexible-display lineups. While Samsung still dominates the segment, analysts say it will need to counter aggressive price cuts from rivals in China and Europe.
Livestream coverage of Galaxy Unpacked will be available on Samsung’s website and YouTube channel. Global preorders for the new devices are expected to begin shortly after the event wraps, industry sources said.
