New Mexico has officially announced that state-issued IDs and driver’s licenses can now be added to digital wallets like Apple Wallet and Google Wallet. This advancement aims to provide residents with a secure and convenient way to carry their identification digitally. The new feature also allows seamless integration for use in airports, government offices, and other facilities that accept digital IDs.

To add a New Mexico driver’s license or state ID to your digital wallet, open the Wallet app on your device, tap the “+” icon, select “Driver’s License or State ID,” and follow the on-screen instructions for verification.
